Despite the obvious differences, it&amp;#39;s amazing how similar the two sports are. One thing I learned from golf...you need to set the idea firmly in your mind that meticulous consistency is the key and that it will take 5-10 years before you score very well. If you accept that and have full trust in your practice program, that will get you through the short term frustrations (of which there are many). Also, get a coach if you&amp;#39;re serious. For golf or lifting, it&amp;#39;s crucial to have an unbiased pair of eyes watch your progress over time.</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/2494301459995178598/3774316272698865134/comments/default/3029768701504079378'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/2494301459995178598/3774316272698865134/comments/default/3029768701504079378'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.doctorhartmanblog.com/2011/06/consistency.html?showComment=1307980768355#c3029768701504079378' title=''/><author><name>Tom Woodward</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/01164950598688731651</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='32' height='24' src='http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_wV-LlEpXIv8/SzfxAesl8KI/AAAAAAAAACM/pYPy2ceQbKc/S220/jerkssnatches.jpg'/></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://www.doctorhartmanblog.com/2011/06/consistency.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2494301459995178598.post-3774316272698865134' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/2494301459995178598/posts/default/3774316272698865134' type='text/html'/><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='blogger.itemClass' value='pid-1436381240'/></entry></feed>
